HOME The Bullseye School of Wrestling was created by Anne Arundel County natives Ryan Davis and David Hicks to provide Maryland wrestlers with access to the techniques and strategies of some of the premier programs in the country. They bring skills from some of the nation's top programs, including Oklahoma State University, Tennessee Chattanooga, University of Nebraska, and Blair Academy. Their mission is to help prepare their wrestlers for elite success at the high school level and to build the necessary foundation to reach the next level.

BULLSEYE SCHOOL

Bullseye's program is designed to provide a much more thorough and personalized system of instruction than wrestlers will find in open mat clubs. The techniques taught are selected carefully to attack the major problem areas of youth and high school wrestlers. Over time we can specifically tailor our teaching to the needs of committed members. Over the course of Bullseye's season these techniques are continually drilled and expanded on, so as to create muscle memory and diverse understanding from many different positions. This type of training is essential to translate new techniques into application on the mat. Bullseye's Advanced sessions typically run between 90-120 minutes, consisting of a directed warm-up, drilling, and introduction of new techniques. The final portion of practice is then utilized for directed live wrestling and conditioning. Various bands and other props will also be incorporated into the workouts to augment the training, when needed. Beginner/Junior League sessions will be run in a similar fashion for 60 minutes.

ALT-TRAIN

Strength training for the sport of wrestling is as important as learning proper technique. Without a sufficiently strong body, one cannot perform different techniques effectively.Wrestling is a sport that requires more than weight room strength. While weight training is essential, it isolates specific muscle groups. Wrestling is a full body experience and requires full body strength training. Bullseye's Alt TrainSare designed to do just that. Alt Trains are outdoor workouts that involve exercises such as: tractor tire flipping, stone throwing, stump carries, truck pulls, and an array of rope workouts. This is in addition to a cardio segment, consisting of runs, sprints, stairs, or hills. Combining Alt Trains with Bullseye's School of Wrestling is the best way to maximize your preparation for next season.Alt Trains will typically last about one hour.

Bullseye's technicians are also willing to work with wrestlers on a more individual basis if desired. We recognize that sometimes wrestlers have specific problem areas that need individual consultation.

All wrestlers are required to have a USA Wrestling Membership Card. Cards can be purchased at usawmembership.com.

Note: The 8 sessions in the pass do not have to be used in 8 consecutive workouts. To ensure the spirit of this discount the 8 sessions MUST be used within the 3 months. There are absolutely no refunds--if you are unsure of your ability to attend 8 workouts within a 3 months span, please utilize our $20 or $15 per session options. Upon attending each practice, each wrestler is to report their full name to one of the coaches so that the appropriate records can be maintained.

State Champion discount applies to High School champions only--this applies to 4A/3A, 1A/2A, and MIS champions. Freestyle and Greco state championships are not applicable to this discount

Bullseye Wrestling practices are held at the United States Naval Academy in Lejeune Hall.DirectionsTake Rowe Blvd. 1.6 miles to where it dead-ends at College Ave. - make a left turn. Go to the first stop light, this will be King George St. - make a right turn.Follow King George St. for two blocks and you will see Gate 1.Only vehicles with DoD stickers or a guest pass are allowed on the Yard. All others will need to park outside the Academy and walk in through Gate 1 with a valid ID. Lejeune Hall is located directly across from the Visitors Center/Gate 1 entrance.
